On April 12, 2023, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat L. Abdullin and Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Vadim V. Khomenko met with First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Sergei A. Chizhik.

The parties discussed the implementation of the Roadmap of scientific and technical cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2023–2024 in promising areas: petrochemistry and wood chemistry, agro-industrial complex, history and archeology, etc. The parties identified a number of new areas of cooperation between the organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan. An agreement has been reached to sign an agreement in the field of scientific research support in the near future.
